About this place
가락농수산물종합도매시장은 국내 최대의 농수산물 도매시장이다. 1985년 청과시장과 수산시장이 처음 문을 열면서 국내 최고의 농수산물 유통단지로 성장해 왔다. 기타 직판시장이 들어서면서 오늘날의 규모로 자리 잡았으며 16만 4천여 평에 달하는 부지에 각종 시장 건물 17동이 있다. 연간 230여만 톤(하루 7,500여톤)으로 세계 최대 거래 물량을 자랑하며, 서울시 소요량의 49%, 전국 32개 공영도매시장이 취급하는 총거래량의 40%를 차지할 정도로 우리나라 농수산물 유통의 중심적인 역할을 하고 있다.
