옥천냉면황해식당은 1952년 개업한 이래 냉면 전문점으로 소문이 자자해 식도락가들의 발길이 끊이지 않는 곳이다. 이곳 냉면의 특징은 메밀을 직접 제분하여 면을 뽑고 가을에 수매한 콩으로 메주를 쑤어 간장을 만들어 이 간장으로만 간을 하는 것이다. 반찬으로 내놓는 김치는 가을 무 만을 골라 2~3년간 염장해 사용한다.
