광명사거리역 4번 출구에서 600여M의 광명새마을시장은 식료품 중심으로 판매하는 소매시장으로 광명6동 주택가에 위치하고 있다. 대지 면적은 1만 1900.83㎡로, 식료품, 생필품, 야채, 과일, 정육, 약국, 음식점, 의류, 잡화, 제화 등의 다양한 상점들이 들어서 있다. 1986년부터 생긴 점포들이 지금은 200여 개의 점포가 들어선 재래시장의 면모를 갖추었다. 주변이 주택가라는 이점을 살려 식료품을 싱싱하고 저렴하게 판매한다는 특징이 있다.
