응암정보도서관은 2009년 개관하여 은평구의 대표적 공공도서관이다. 도서관이 있던 기존 건물은 생활 SOC(사람들의 일상생활에 필요한 필수 시설)로 탈바꿈하기 위해 재건축에 들어갔다. 현재 상업건물 2~3층에 임시 이전하여 운영하하고 있다. 2층은 자료실과 전 연령을 위한 원서와 도서가 준비되어 있고, 3층에는 독서 토론 및 문화강좌를 위한 문화강좌실이 마련되어 있다. 다양한 문화행사도 진행하고 있는데, 지역주민의 지역적·문화적 특성을 고려한 프로그램으로 구성되어 있으며, 유익하고 다양한 문화체험을 경험할 수 있다.
