평소 도심 속에서 접하지 못하는 애완곤충 및 희귀 곤충 전시를 통해 생태교육은 물론 시민들에게 볼거리 및 즐길거리를 제공하고 있다. 체험관 외벽에 잠자리 모양으로 LED 조명을 설치하여 야간에 화려한 볼거리를 제공한다. 또한 매년 9월 와동 체육공원에서 곤충페스티벌을 개최하고 있다.
