About this place
경원선은 서울에서 출발해 동두천, 연천, 철원을 지나 북한의 원산으로 향하는 철길이다. 연천에는 초성리, 한탄강, 전곡, 연천, 신망리, 대광리, 신탄리 등 모두 7개의 경원선 기차역이 존재해 다양한 열차 여행 코스를 만들어내기 좋다. 등록문화재로 지정된 연천역 급수탑을 시작으로 북녘땅을 조망하기 좋은 태풍전망대, 흥미진진한 낙농체험이 가능한 애심목장까지 열차와 안보, 체험을 한꺼번에 즐기는 코스다.
