구로구민회관 1층에 위치한 갤러리 구루지는 기획 및 대관 전시 등 주민들의 문화 향유 증대를 위한 구로구 대표 갤러리이다. 구루지란 구로구민회관 일대에 있었던 마을 이름이며, 구로동에서 가장 오래된 마을이다. 접시의 움푹 들어간 가운데 부분처럼 가장 지대가 낮은 곳에 위치했다고 하여 구루지 마을로 불렸다.
