천연잔디와 필드와 우레탄 트랙이 갖춰진 경기장으로 국내 유사 규모의 종합운동장 중 처음으로 순우리말 명칭 사용하였다. 용을 뜻하는 순우리말 미르와 경기장을 뜻하는 용어인 스타디움의 합성어이다. 주 경기장, 용인 어린이 상상의 숲, 매표소 데크 광장, 건강 산책로로 구성된다. 용인미르스타디움 주 경기장 2층에 폭염과 우천에 상관없이 산책할 수 있는 800m 산책로가 있으며, 천연잔디가 깔려있다.
