수원 광교에서 용인 구성 쪽으로 넘어가는 길목에 위치해 있다. 삼태기처럼 생겼다 해서 동네 이름이 삼막곡으로 불리기 시작했으며 가까운 곳에 캠핑장, 관광농원이 있을 만큼 주변 경관이 뛰어나다. 특히, 삼막곡 낚시터는 큰 규모에 깨끗한 시설이 장점이고 숲과 물이 조화를 이뤄 쉼터로도 안성맞춤이다. 붕어 낚시로 유명한 이곳의 수심은 2.5m 정도이고 찌올림과 손맛이 좋다. 넓은 주차장에 최신 시설의 좌대와 방갈로, 수세식 화장실, 간이 샤워실, 음식을 판매하는 매점이 있다. 서울 가까이 있어 평일 퇴근 후에 방문하는 사람도 많다.
