부천제일시장은 1981년부터 자연발생적으로 생겨난 뒤 2006년에 인정 시장으로 승인받았다. 부천시 오정구에 있는 전통시장 중 규모가 가장 크다. 규모가 큰 만큼 4개의 구역으로 나뉘어서 상인들이 영업을 하고 있다. 시장에서는 신선한 농산물과 수산물은 물론, 축산물, 건어류, 청과류 등을 구매할 수 있고, 생필품과 잡화까지 한 자리에서 만나볼 수 있다. 시장 내 아케이드도 설치되어 있어 눈이나 비가 오는 날 편리하게 장을 볼 수 있다.
