대한불교조계종 제8교구 직지사 말사인 법륭사는 1986년에 덕기 대화상이 창건한 사찰이다. 법륭사는 창건 이래 전법도량으로서 면모를 갖췄으나 화재로 인해 대웅전을 소실하였다. 이에 법륭사 현 주지스님인 현여스님의 원력으로 수마제전(법륭사에서 중심이 되는 법당) 복원 불사를 시작 하여 정면 3칸, 측면 2칸 규모의 팔작지붕 법당을 중건하여 전법과 수행에 매진하고 있다. 창건과 함께 약사여래부처님을 조성한 법륭사는 약사기도 영험에 충만한 도량으로 지금까지 많은 이들의 몸과 마음을 치유하고 있다.
