1970년대에 개설된 광진구에서 가장 역사 깊은 전통시장으로 정비가 잘되어 있는 골목형 시장이다. 건대입구역에서 나와 조금 걸으면 시장이어서 접근성이 좋으며, 추억의 떡볶이와 전통 과자 등 다양한 먹거리도 인기다. 영동교 북단 방향으로 좀 더 걸으면 영동교골목시장까지 바로 연결되어 있어 동시에 이용할 수 있다. 알찬 먹거리가 가득하여 남녀노소 자주 찾는 시장이며 골목에 위치한 점포들이 방문객들에게 정겨운 느낌을 주는 전통시장이다.
