청량리청과물시장은 1958년부터 영업을 시작한 전통과 역사를 가진 청과물 전문 도매시장으로 약 170여 개의 점포가 성업 중이다. 경기도와 강원도에서 올라온 농산물은 이곳 청량리 시장으로 집결된 뒤 전국 각지로 다시 팔려나간다. 도매시장인 만큼 자정부터 새벽까지 시장이 활발하며, 과일 외에 일반 시장처럼 야채, 수산물, 먹거리 등을 판매하는 점포들도 많다. 청량리역 인근에 위치해 있어 접근성이 편리하다.
