인천 앞바다와 한강을 연결하는 경인아라뱃길의 검암공원은 인천 검암역 뒤쪽에 위치해 있다. 운하 양쪽으로 자전거길이 조성돼 있어 한강변을 따라 자전거 타는 사람들과 산책을 즐기는 사람들에게 인기 있으며 휴식을 취할 수 있는 나무 평상과 그네가 있어 피크닉을 즐기는 사람들도 많이 찾는다. 운동시설로 축구장, 농구장, 배드민턴장이 있다. 저녁이 되면 시천교와 백석교의 야경이 장관을 이룬다. 주변 관광지로 시천교 수상무대, 매화 동산, 봉수 마당이 있다.
