About this place
도곡시장은 서울시 강남구 역삼동에 위치한 재래시장이다. 1970년대에 상인들이 하나둘씩 자연발생적으로 장사를 시작하면서 생겨난 시장이다. 도심 속 도로 쪽에서 아파트까지 이어지는 골목 양쪽 길을 따라 상점들이 배치된 골목형 시장으로 아파트 상가도 함께 맞물려 있어서 이용객이 많다. 주변에 아파트단지가 들어서면서 한 때 수 백 명의 상인들이 장사를 할 정도로 시장의 규모가 커졌다.
